Call for volunteers for SPI board of directors

The board of directors of Software in the Public Interest recently
accepted resolution 2003-01-06.wta.1, which details the procedure
for adding three new members to the board.

The first step of this process begins today: a two week (14 day)
period during which individuals can nominate themselves for
a position on the board.

Candidates can volunteer by mailing the SPI secretary at the
email address secretary(at)spi-inc(dot)org(dot) Candiates are invited
to send positions papers and bios as well. Please note that
people who volunteered earlier in response to
the reqest from Martin Schulze are not automatically included.

A list of candidates and any information they submitted will
be maintained on http://www.spi-inc.org/secretary/
