spi-general is not the correct email address for this.
Anyway, for Debian, LibreOffice, PostgreSQL and FFMpeg (one of VLC
dependencies) SPI can sort it out, as when donating via Click and Pledge
you can specify the amounts.
KDE and Plasma have their own organization - https://ev.kde.org/
Thunderbird used to be in Mozilla Foundation -
https://www.mozillafoundation.org/en/
VLC is also on its own org, Videolan Organization -
https://www.videolan.org/videolan/
Vivaldi Browser is a freeware, owned by Vivaldi Technologies Anonymous
Society (a for profit society).
SPI is a fiscal sponsor and a public charity - so no, SPI cannot forward
your money to other organizations.

I would like to be sure to donate to projects that strategically cover the
gamut of new user needs; specifically:
- Debian
- KDE
- plasma
- Thunderbird
- LibreOffice
- vlc
- postgres (people are often implicitly using this when they use website
services...)
- Vivaldi browser (it's damn good; most people just haven't heard about
it or know how to configure it yet...)
Does or can a donation to SPI cover *all* or most of those projects? How
does a donor indicate the "split" among these projects, if one can??
