(Note: Outgoing Board member and former Secretary Neil McGovern is going
to be running this election. Although his seat is up for election, he has
decided that he will not be seeking to retain it, thus there is no
conflict of interest. Future emails related to this election will come
from him. --Jimmy Kaplowitz, SPI Secretary)

As per our by-laws[0] and resolution 2004-08-10-dbg.2[1], two board seats are
up for election for a three-year term: that of Neil McGovern and that of
Michael Schultheiss.

Anyone who wishes to run for any of these seats, including any
interested incumbents, is asked to send a position statement to Neil
McGovern at neilm(at)spi-inc(dot)org(dot)

These position statements will be collected until the 13th of July. Third-party
nominations need to be endorsed by the candidate and position statements are
still required.

From the 15th to the 28th of July, voting will take place should there be a
need.

After the election results are posted, the Board will select from among
its number the officers (president, vp, treasurer, secretary).

Sincerely,

Jimmy Kaplowitz, SPI Secretary
